AIR Handling UNITS
HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS
KVS ASSEMBLY
KVS system with an intermediate medium, usually a mixture of water and glycol or other
non-freezing medium, consist of two exchangers. First of them is located in a stream of air
which is blown away, whereas the other one is in the stream of supplied
(external) air. The exchangers are connected to a hydraulic pumping and controlling
system. The exchanger installed in the exhaust air (cooler) is equipped with a droplet
eliminator, a condensate drain. Exchangers with glycol in the heat recovery system are used if
the streams of the supply and exhaust air are to be totally separated, or if the supply and exhaust
central stations are away from each other. Heat recovery efciency of KV systems is 45 to 55%.
