HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS
KVS ASSEMBLY
Recuperators with an intermediate medium, usually a mixture of water and glycol or other
non-freezing medium, consist of two exchangers. First of them is located in a stream of air
which is blown away, whereas the other one is in the stream of supplied (external) air. The
exchangers are connected using a hydraulic pumping and controlling system. This system
is not included in the delivery of the central station. The exchanger installed in the stream
of exhaust air (cooler) is equipped with a droplet eliminator, and a section for this exchanger
is equipped with a condensate tank with a drain. The exchangers with glycol in the heat
recovery system are used if the streams of the supply and exhaust air are to be totally
separated, or if the supply and exhaust central stations are away from each other. Heat
recovery ef?ciency of KV systems is 45 to 55%.
