Rotary heat exchangers in normal conditions which exist in air conditioning equipment do
not reveal any inclination to getting dirty thanks to the effect of rotor self-cleaning (however,
this phenomenon exists only when the rotor rotates, still rotors exhibit inclination to getting dirty).
In case of contaminations which are sticky, thick or greasy, the solution is a system of cleaning
circulation (periodically rotates the rotor and prevents dirt accumulation on one side). If the
rotor operates in dif?cult conditions, automatic cleaning devices should be installed.
Compressed air or pressurized hot water are the most frequently used cleaning media. Ro
section is equipped with revision covers, enabling free access to the exchanger drive.
Optionallythe empty sections - L - are used before and after the exchanger, which have trays
for the condensate with a drain.
