The structure has been modelled taking into account all geometric interaction between
the elements (contacts) using *CONTACT_AUTOMATIC_SURFACE_TO_SURFACE keyword
[3]. An example of geometric interaction between deformed elements is shown at Fig. 7.
Please note that the deformations are many times magnified.
Since damping does not play an important quantitative role except for resonant
responses in structural responses, an average relative damping ratios was used for all
components 5% [2].
A material S235 was assumed to be linear and isotropic with Young modulus 210 GPa
and mass density 7.896E-9 tonne/mm3.
Total number of parts of the structure is 71, not counting connections of elements
(screws) and the fan assembly. The complete finite element model were consisted of
144'016 fully integrated linear assumed strain shell elements and 5'162 constant stress
solid elements, Fig. 8.
