EXPANSION SECTION - D
If directly after the fan on the delivery side exists an element which requires a uniform in?ow
of air (for example noise suppressors, ?lters), then between this element and a fan an expansion
section - D should be installed. This section is equipped with diaphragm made of perforated
sheet, to ensure a laminar pro?le of air ?ow. In well motivated cases this solution can be also
used on the suction side of the Plug-type fans.
