                        FAN SECTION - V

The fan section is a very rigid construction, thanks to the use of multi-panel ?oor on which a
support frame for the fan is installed. This section is equipped with a service door (often with
a door and a service cap) with built-in protective net and a system of door handles with
tightening locks and protective locks. Slanted ?oors with drains are installed optionally.
Fan-motor sets, located on the fan frame, are mounted on the supporting frame using vibration
absorbers (spring absorbers or rubber vibration isolators). All the assemblies are equipped with
service switches and earthing safety conductors.

Fans with a PLUG-type direct drive
Axial-?ow fans without a rotor housing, with a direct drive, are used for the following reasons:
- achieving optimum technical parameters,
- low level of noise,
- easy servicing,
- energy saving because of the possibility of using the frequency converter for controlling the
motor,
- simple determination of ef?ciency, by measuring the pressure difference at measurement
connector pipes.
Motors characterized by power up to 2,2 kW are powered using 3 x 230V, motors above 3 kW
are powered using 3 x 400V. When using highly ef?cient fans, couplings are installed which
enable exchanging the motor without disassembling the whole fan to minimize the time of
servicing.
