Experiences from the OL3 project

Nuclear power plant
Executed from 2007 to 2014

In April 2014 we have successfully nalized our activities in Olkiluoto. During these seven years we have gathered a plethora of
professional experience, which benets our activities right now.
Our scope covered manufacturing and installation of our own components and erection of components delivered by Client.
Preparation only of the manufacturing documentation took more than one year. Construction plans contained procedures and
construction drawings, it has allowed to standardize the production in such a way that the risk of production caused defects was
brought to almost zero. Thus, the quality of the items leaving the production line, allowed the correct installation to such a point
that incredible leak tightness class category E for welded ducts was exceeded.

In order to fulll the OL3 contract our quality management system, which at that time was already compliant with ISO 9001, has
been adapted to the increased requirements of the nuclear energy industry. This was conrmed by a series of pre and updating
audits, which we have passed positively and always received the extension of the qualications in the eld of standards KTA 1401
and QN-100.
During the Contract we have also delivered special constructions like for example lost formworks ducts. Due to the fact, that those
ducts were to be concreted, we had to design and manufacture quite a new type of stiffening construction, which had
strengthened the ducts to a such degree, that the ducts could withstand a pressure of a few meters of concrete during purring.
To summarize, over the realization years of the OL3 contract, KMW Engineering team of engineers and highly qualied tters in
100% fullled high requirements, which exists in the nuclear power industry. Now our Company with these new experiences is a
